Grape varieties: Grechetto, Trebbiano, Malvasia di Candia

Land: clayey matrix, rich in limestone and skeleton

Alcohol: 13.5%

Fermentation: 15-18 days in temperature-controlled steel tanks; grapes harvested and vinified separately in different periods, when they reach the best ripeness. Assembly in December/January.

Maturation: 7 months in steel

Refinement: 2-3 months in bottle

Years of ideal consumption: 2-3 years

Serving Temperature: 10-12°C

Pairings: appetizers with fresh or grilled vegetables, first courses, preferably without tomatoes, white meats, even roasted.

Presentation: straw yellow wine, expresses a rich and varied bouquet of fruits and flowers typically attributable to the scents of the beautiful Umbrian hills. Grapes coming from vineyards cultivated with the Guyot pruning system from below which allows for a higher wall, thus benefiting the vines with a better active leaf surface and thus obtaining a better quality of the grapes. The company: the winery “Cantina la Spina” by Moreno Peccia was born with the aim of best combining the ancient local vocation in the cultivation of vines with the current winemaking techniques so as to enhance the quality of the products. The vineyards are located among the rolling hills in the locality of la Spina, in the municipality of Marsciano, not far from Perugia with clayey soil rich in limestone, about 300 meters above sea level, with an East-West exposure.
