Description

Presentation: Ruby red with garnet reflections, rich and complex bouquet, with hints of red fruit jam, sweet spices and earthy and toasted hints. Balanced taste, warm, tannic and with a good freshness. The pebbly soils, looser and lighter than the others, the exposure to the East, the refinement in large barrels, make this Sagrantino the bastion of elegance in the Tabarrini house. Fresh, relaxed, markedly mineral, it is capable of combining the identity of the vine with a joyful drink, but with great aromatic complexity. Only one hectare of vineyard, for less than 2,000 bottles per harvest! The company: The Tabarrini family has been lovingly raising its vineyards and producing wine in Montefalco, in the Turrita area, for four generations. Only at the end of the 90s, however, thanks to the intuition and enthusiasm of Giampaolo Tabarrini, the company changed pace, deciding to bottle the wines and making the most of the experience of years of work. Shortly thereafter, the new winery was also born, which, immersed in hills and vineyards, gives life to a suggestive and typically Umbrian landscape where man and nature go hand in hand. But it is from the love for the land that great wines are born. Of the twenty-two hectares of the estate, eleven are planted with vineyards. Here, Sagrantino, which finds its very raison d'être in Montefalco, has a central, irreplaceable and fascinating role. The Tabarrinis treat it with respect and pride, like the other grapes owned, which are then the only ones to be transformed into wine. From the bunch to the bottle. This is the true philosophy of a family that follows in person, with scrupulousness and passion, every little step of its creatures.
