Description

Presentation: intense ruby red color, with aging reflections tending to garnet. Fruity notes with hints of cherry in alcohol, currant and blackberry, floral notes reminiscent of violet. Intense taste in the mouth but at the same time elegant. A wine with a complex structure and good persistence. A wine you would always like to have a bottle on hand, simple but never banal. The company: An interesting winemaking reality located in the area not far from Città della Pieve. Spiritual legacy of vines and generations, that collected by Paolo Bolla who moved from Veneto to Umbria his homeland. Here he encountered an intact territory of great charm, in turn the child of a thousand-year history that tastes of water and salt, because where today the vine and the olive tree thrive, once the ocean stretched. The memory of that ancient environment today translates into respect for the originality of the territory, and in the bond with it and with the past generations who lived and worked there: for this reason, on the labels of Fontesecca wines there are shell fossils, an integral part of the terroir. Wines that, in turn, have chosen to enhance the originality of local vines such as Trebbiano Toscano, Malvasia, Grechetto, Ciliegiolo, Canaiolo and Sangiovese, grown and processed in full respect of their naturalness, according to the dictates of organic viticulture. Respect, nature, originality, history, quality of life... are the roots of the philosophy of Fontesecca and its organic wine. The reference year is the one marketed by the producing winery.
