Description

Presentation: the most representative wine of the company. Deep ruby red in color, the bouquet is very broad and varied. Aromas that recall notes of plums, violets, tobacco, leather, light balsamic and spicy notes. The tannins are ripe and enveloping and the finish is long and persistent. A complex, structured and long-lived wine. The company: Tenuta Lamborghini is located between the hills of Lake Trasimeno facing south and the beautiful village of Panicale. The estate was purchased by Ferruccio Lamborghini in the late 1960s who, while traveling in these areas, fell in love with these places. Once he abandoned the famous car business, he decided to dedicate himself to agriculture. The total surface area is 100 hectares, divided between a 9-hole golf course, a farmhouse and the winery of 32 hectares. In the mid-1990s Patrizia Lamborghini took over the management, continuing and indeed strengthening her father's ambition to produce high-quality wines. Since then, most of the vineyards have been replanted, eliminating the white grape varieties and favoring Sangiovese and Merlot. Currently, the new vineyards with a high density of selected clones extend over 20 hectares.
