Description

Presentation: bright golden yellow wine. Intense aroma with a varied bouquet, from mango to quince, through candied fruit, then almond, spices, oregano and tobacco and flint on the finish. Balanced, warm, savoury and enveloping. The vinification is carried out after a careful selection of the bunches, followed by a few days of cold maceration on the skins, the must is transferred to large barrels where fermentation begins naturally thanks to indigenous yeasts. The wine also naturally undergoes malolactic fermentation, remaining on the yeasts for about 7 months before being clarified by decanting. Bottling takes place without filtration in order to keep the wine's identity intact. "Arneto" produced with Trebbiano Spoletino, a unique grape variety, rediscovered, originating from the Spoleto area from which it takes its name. This wine brings a clear and powerful message of valorization of the traditional indigenous grapes expressive of the Umbrian territory. The Company: Bellafonte is equivalent to the realization of the dream of interpreting the territory of Montefalco in a completely new way. A project that has gradually come to life over time, step by step. The name of the company comes from a play on the decomposition of the family name, of German origin: “Heil” means beauty and well-being, while “Bron” means source. The property is located near the small and enchanting village of Torre del Colle, where about eleven hectares are occupied by vines composed of some old rows and others recently planted. Designed to have a complete energy balance and a very low environmental impact, the Estate has photovoltaic systems and a biomass boiler that also uses plant residues produced in the vineyards. The wines are elegant and authentic like the Umbrian vines from which they derive and are produced respecting nature and tradition.
