Presentation: “Alago“ is the name of the Pinot Grigio parcel located near the small irrigation lake in the center of the natural amphitheater formed by the vineyard. Straw yellow in color with greenish reflections. Fruity aroma reminiscent of white pulp fruit and floral notes. A wine with a very long flavor, excellent flavor and wonderful acidity.
The Company: The Cenci family has been involved in viticulture for over four generations, continuing the work of cultivating vines in compliance with the characteristics of tradition and the typicality of the territory that belonged to the Olivetan friars. In the early 1950s Mario, an enlightened and innovative agricultural expert and Giovanni's grandfather, selected the Grechetto, Sangiovese and Malvasia clones from the vines married to the mulberry tree cultivated by the Olivetans, and planted the company's first vineyards. In 2012, after two years of renovation of the company farmhouse under the guidance of Mario Cenci, the new cellar was inaugurated under the guidance of Giovanni Cenci, a viticulturist, oenologist, food biotechnologist and sommelier.
